Gymnast Simone Biles publicly committed to spending more time in her Texas home recently—and she more than doubled down on that vow when she turned the custom property into a luxurious event space in order to host some of her closest friends for a very high-end sleepover party.

Biles, 29, showcased the fruits of her labor in a series of Instagram photos this week, where she revealed the incredible lengths she went in order to turn the Houston-area home she shares with husband Jonathan Owens into an oasis of fun for her pals—complete with a jewelry station, bouquet bar, and a private pilates session on the basketball court.

Pink and purple appear to have been chosen as the color theme for the event, which was attended by eight women, including Biles and her younger sister, Adria.

The event, which appears to have been held as a baby shower for the gymnast’s close friend, Rachel Roettger, went well beyond a more traditional sleepover, swapping pillow fights and ice cream sundaes for custom flower arrangements and a full dessert bar.

Biles appears to have spared no expense on the activities and the decorations, with images shared by the athlete revealing the very impressive set-up, which included a pink-and-beige balloon arch that the gymnast and her friends all posed in front of—while wearing matching purple pajamas.

The property was also filled with a variety of custom signage, including a large pink poster in the home’s entryway that read: “Slumber soiree.”

Other images shared by Biles’ guests revealed that her beloved French bulldogs were also present at the event—and even snuck their way into a couple of the photos.

In the caption of her post, the athlete paid tribute to her mother, Nellie Biles, and her aunt for teaching her how to become a “professional party thrower,” sharing many of the intricate details that made up the adorable event, including a custom charcuterie plate with the words “Mean Girls” written across it in cheese.

But that platter was just the start of what appears to have been a very varied spread that included dishes provided by a private chef, as well as an incredible breakfast bar with fresh fruit trays and pancakes, all of which were elegantly arranged around colorful flower arrangements.

A large pink menu relayed the full spread on offer to guests, including shrimp and grits, traditional chicken and waffles, fruit, eggs, parfaits, cinnamon rolls, pancake sausage sandwiches, hashbrowns, and macarons. There was also a custom mimosa station.

Biles also shared one photo of herself and several guests toasting glasses of red wine, which she alluded to in her caption, writing: “Relax, it’s just grapes,” along with a wine glass emoji.

While she appears to have captured plenty of her own photos from the event, Biles also called in the help of a professional photobooth, where she and her friends posed for a series of candid group shots, all set against an elegant backdrop of cream drapery.

To ensure that her lucky invitees were able to truly relax and enjoy their night, the three-time Olympian also set up custom goodie bags for each attendee, all of which came complete with a set of animal-print PJs, fluffy white slippers, electric personal fans, Biodance sheet masks, custom claw clips, personalized Stanley water cups, a Sol de Janeiro gift set, and a face mist.

As for the activities, Biles and her pals were by no means short of things to do. In addition to the wild variety of food they enjoyed, the women were also treated to a private pilates class, which was held on the basketball court at Biles and Owens’ property—where pink mats, weights, and medicine balls were laid out for each person.

“Welcome to pilates before mimosas,” a large sign on the edge of the space read.

In the corner of the court, Biles also stationed a flower bar with large buckets of different blooms that her guests were able to use in order to create their own bouquets to take home.

A permanent bracelet station was also set up inside one of the expansive living areas inside the home, where Biles and her pals were able to get a variety of different attached to their wrists by experts who weld the chains shut to ensure they do not fall off.

The gold medalist’s post was quickly flooded with comments from impressed followers, many of whom were quick to compliment her hostess skills, with one writing: “Love how this is basically a wellness brand activation, at home, with the mean girls.”

“So cutie!! You’re such an amazing friend! They’re blessed to have you,” another person chimed in.

Even the official Barbie account commented on the post, calling the soiree “our favorite kind of party.”

However, Biles did not have much time to relish her successes, revealing just hours after sharing her slumber party recap that she had jetted off to New York City, where she snapped several photos of her fun-filled day, which included a trip to the incredibly exclusive eatery The Corner Store.

The gymnast shared a photo of the exterior of the restaurant, before snapping a picture of the envy-inducing meal she enjoyed while there—including a steak, fries, and a wagyu French dip sandwich.

Biles also shared a photo of some market stalls in the SoHo neighborhood of the city, as well as an image that appears to have been taken at her hotel.

It has been something of a jet-set summer for the sporting sensation, who recently enjoyed a trip to Belize with her husband, which she followed immediately with a quick visit to Malaysia and Hong Kong, before she and her spouse flew into New York for the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The couple wasted no time before heading off again, this time to Indiana, where Owens is due to start training with the Indianapolis Colts in a matter of days.

While it is unclear what the duo got up to during their trip, Biles did share several photos of herself getting glammed up by a local makeup artist, while Owens posted a photo of himself and their pet Doberman spending time in the lobby of a local hotel.

It may be that the couple will spent some time looking for a property in the area, where Owens will be based for the 2026 NFL season. When he played for the Chicago Bears, the couple rented a property in the Windy City where he lived, while Biles traveled back and forth between Illinois and Texas.

In fact, their travel schedule was so hectic that they were only able to properly move into their new lakefront mansion in February of this year, despite construction being completed in November 2025.

Their most recent adventures come just a few months after Biles joked that she was planning to spend a lot more time at home—while lamenting the soaring cost of preparing herself for celebrity events and red carpets.

Biles took to TikTok to ask her fellow celebrities, athletes, and influencers to share their own experiences, questioning whether the price she paid for a recent appearance was the “new normal,” adding that, if it is, she is happy to skip all future events.

“If you’re a celebrity, athlete, influencer, these questions are for you,” she said, while relaxing in the living room of her custom-built Texas mansion.

“I just need to know if this is normal. Because I know going outside is expensive as f–k these days, but is it this expensive? I just recently had a red carpet event [and] with the stylist fee, hair and makeup team, my grand total … any guesses? I’ll wait. It’s probably higher than what you’re thinking. Keep going.

“Yeah, $22,000. Actually $23,000.”

Biles further noted that while she “gets inflation” and appreciates that “prices these days have gone up,” she does not feel equipped to continue paying that sum every time she needs to attend an event—claiming that she will simply turn down future invitations if she’s going to have to fork out that much to feel her best in front of the cameras.

She then joked that, if $23,000 is the expectation moving forward, she would sooner return to her gymnastics career and stay home than continue pursuing a more celebrity-centric career path.

Luckily, Biles’ home isn’t exactly a shabby place to be, even when compared with the glitz and glamour of the events she so regularly attends.

Biles has shared several sneak peeks inside the property since she and Owens moved in earlier this year, including a look inside their luxurious bedroom, which she revealed was decorated to look like a five-star hotel.

Posting a video of her remote-control drapes opening up one morning, the Olympian noted that she had asked her interior designer, Diamond Hadley, to create the ambiance that one might find at a top-rated resort.

“When we designed this bedroom, I told them I wanted it to feel like a hotel and it feels exactly like that,” Biles captioned the quick clip, which showed the curtains opening up to the couple’s beautiful outdoor patio overlooking their pool.

As for the more personal touches in their dwelling, Biles has begun adding nods to her impressive career inside her private office, which she revealed is now home to several framed accolades, including her Sports Illustrated cover from January 2025, when she was named as the magazine’s Sportsperson of the Year 2024.

Above that sits another Sports Illustrated cover, this time featuring Biles posing alongside her fellow Olympians Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky. They were hailed as “The Greatests: Stars of a Red Hot American Summer” after their stellar performances at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

A poster from the Gold Over America Tour—a program that Biles began in September 2021, following that year’s Olympics in Tokyo—completes the trio of framed achievements.
