Its created from thin air through debt, that increases the money supply which could raise prices as a consequence. That was originally called inflation…
but it has been redifined so inflation is only defined for prices, so the increased money supply gets hidden from the public eye
Quantitative tightening can be more powerful than rate hikes. I expect I'll be buying some shorter terms CDs and T-bills. I even found a 2.55% no penalty CD. If we end up in a full-blown recession (probably because inflation will up for another 6 months); well, I don't wanna own crypto.
