Over the weekend, a podcaster talked about driving 17 hours to see Charlie Munger and eating dinner with the Berkshire Hathaway former vice chairman/ personal finance literature deity.

But there is one thing I learned from that conversation, and it is the most important piece of advice and take away from it.

What Happened: Munger and investing legend Warren Buffett maintained a lifelong partnership that remains crucial to the progress of Berkshire Hathaway. Following Munger’s death, his spirit and commitment to being near the best people in the very long run have lingered on within the company. If they hadn’t met, there’s a good chance Berkshire Hathaway would look vastly different than it does today.
